Tallgrass Estate Planning

Why Tallgrass Estate Planning?
Our estate planning process is personalized through Discovery, Design, and Delivery, focusing on your specific needs and values. We emphasize Education, Hospitality, and Inclusion, ensuring your plan is as unique as you are.
Education
Lawyers aren't always good teachers. They either assume people know what they're talking about or take pride in the fact that they don't.

Hospitality
People don't often associate seeing a lawyer with warmth, generosity, welcome, and empathy. But we believe those things are important parts of our Estate planning process.

Inclusion
Everyone needs support. Everyone needs help. Everyone has hopes and fears. Everyone faces their own aging, sickness, and death. Estate planning is for everyone.
Who We Are
Laurel Carbone and Riley Kern founded Tallgrass Estate Planning, LLP in 2016 as a home-based law firm Tulsa, Oklahoma. Their goal was to create a different kind of law firm - one that reaches out to people who are routinely overlooked by traditional law firms or people who are hesitant to work with traditional firms
Tallgrass Estate Planning has grown into a full service, family-oriented law firm with offices in South Tulsa, Midtown, and Owasso, and focuses exclusively on estate planning and elder law.

Our Plan For You

Discovery
Your Discovery meeting is where you and Tallgrass Estate Planning first get to know each other. During this meeting, we will talk about three important parts of your life and how they come together to create a unique picture of your needs. Those three parts of your life are your People, Assets, and Priorities.

Design
During your Design meeting, we will make the critical decisions necessary to draft the legal documents that contain your estate plan. Depending on the type of estate planning strategy you have chosen, we will identify trustees, executors, financial agents, medical proxies, and guardians for minor children or incapacitated adults.

Delivery
At Delivery, we will execute your estate plan, along with any funding documentation necessary to transfer your assets to your trusts or business entities. This could include deeds for real estate, beneficiary forms for insurance policies and retirement plans, transfers of ownership for bank accounts and brokerage, or transfer shares or assignment of interests in businesses.
